Defrosting and Reheating
How to defrost your soups
There are two good ways to defrost your soups: one is to leave them in the fridge overnight, the other is to slowly defrost them in a pot of warm (not boiling) water on the stove. You can defrost your soups in cold water, switching the water about every hour, not the fastest and requires a bit more oversight.
Soups in the micro?
Don't put your frozen soup in the bag in the microwave. If you want to defrost and reheat your soup in the micro, remove it from the bag first (maybe cut it?! who knows) and then proceed.
Gloppy and thick soup
If the consistency of the soup isn't to your liking, add a bit of water or broth.
Adding to the soups
The soups and stews are fantastic as they are, but feel free to add protein, spices, hot sauce, parm, more nutritional yeast... whatever is to your liking.
